2 - 3
Both Torino and Cagliari are hoping to get their first win of the season after a bad start from two clubs aiming for a place in the top 10 in this campaign.
Marco Giampaolo started the season with back-to-back defeats against Fiorentina and Atalanta, before having their trip to Genoa canceled due to the many cases of coronavirus in the Grifoni squad. Torino was ready for heavy defeat against Viola in the first round, but Fiorentina missed several chances before Castrovilli scored ten minutes before the end for the 1-0 final score. In the second round, Torino played a little bit better but when you are on the pitch against Atalanta you must be perfect to earn points. The final 4-2 defeat was a decent result regarding performances from both teams and Torino avoided a bigger defeat thanks, once again, to missed rival chances.
The Granata host Cagliari in an important tie and will come up against one of their transfer targets Joao Pedro, who scored 18 goals in Serie A last term. For the home side, Andrea Belotti should be looking to build on his two goals from two games in 2020-21, but returns from a difficult week with the Azzurri. The last time Torino lost their three first games in Serie A, it ended with relegation in 2002-03, but they haven’t lost in six home games against Cagliari (3W, 3D). Torino must find a way to make the forward duo playable because they don’t look as good as they should be regarding their individual quality. Zaza must find goals as soon as possible if this Torino wants to avoid the relegation battle that happened for them in the last season.
Torino (4-3-1-2): Sirigu; Vojvoda, Bremer, Nkoulou, Rodriguez; Meite, Rincon, Linetty; Verdi; Belotti,Zaza
Suspended: None
Injured: Baselli
Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini tried to ease the pressure on new coach Eusebio Di Francesco to start winning, but he didn't get him the return of Radja Nainggolan from Inter. One player already came from Milano in the transfer window, but Diego Godin, the Rossoblu’s biggest signing, didn't perform brightly so far. He should be ready to start in defense again, with Riccardo Sottil and Nahitan Nandez expected to join Giovanni Simeone in the attacking trident behind Joao Pedro.
Cagliari won 4-2 when the two met in June, but the Granata had gone 10 games without a defeat against the side from Sardinia before the lockdown in March. Cagliari stole the point against Sassuolo in the first round totally against the run of the play, but they couldn’t repeat such a thing against Lazio and Atalanta. In the game vs Lazio, they had some chances but vs Atalanta, they were lucky not to concede on almost every attack. Goalkeeper Cragno was probably a man of the match and the final score of 5-2 was not a reflection of the performances on the pitch.
Cagliari (4-2-3-1): Cragno; Zappa, Walukiewicz, Godin, Lykogiannis; Marin, Rog; Nandez, Sottil, Simeone; Joao Pedro
Suspended: None
Injured: Ciocci, Pereiro, Pinna, Klavan

A very difficult game to predict because both teams are struggling at the start of the season. Cagliari could steal something from this game but they must find a way to Torino’s net so both teams to score is our bet for this match.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
