The head-to-head record doesn’t give anything away when Torino hosts Parma on Monday night. Read our reasons for Torino vs Parma prediction and betting tips.
Torino, Cagliari, and Benevento have 31 points and are the three teams Parma are fighting to catch, but another setback against Torino would more or less seal Parma’s relegation to Serie B. Davide Nicola insisted he is ‘not worried’ after Torino lost 2-0 to Napoli and remains confident relegation will be ‘a fight to the end.’ The Granata were never able to recover after a shock start, with Tiemoue Bakayoko’s goal followed by Victor Osimhen 120 seconds later. “I think we need to tip our hats to Napoli, because we faced a really strong team this evening, but at the same time we never gave up,” Nicola told the media. “The opener was a fantastic strike, but we could’ve done better on the second, even if we were unlucky on the ricochet. After a one-two blow like that, most teams would’ve lost belief, but we didn’t. We had the chance to get back into the game and continued to believe the right to the end. Napoli deserved the win, but we played our game.”
Torino is now level on 31 points with Benevento and Cagliari but has a game in hand to be played away to Lazio on May 18. “We picked up four points from the last three games against very strong teams. A defeat to a side with the quality of Napoli can happen. The lads gave their all. I am not worried. We’re aware that it’ll be a fight to the end. We earned some important results to reach this level and drag the other teams into the race. A defeat to Napoli will not sap us of our self-esteem. I’d only have been worried if I had seen a team that didn’t believe to the end.”
Torino (3-5-2): Sirigu; Izzo, Nkoulou, Bremer; Singo, Rincon, Baselli, Lukic, Ansaldi; Sanabria, Belotti
Suspended: Mandragora, Verdi

Roberto D’Aversa’s team edge closer and closer to relegation and Torino could increase the gap down to Parma to 14 points with a win. He admitted Parma ‘isn’t good enough at this level’ after their 4-3 defeat to Crotone, but opened the door to staying at the Stadio Tardini. Both teams are practically relegated anyway, but this loss to the bottom club just highlighted how much the Ducali are struggling. “Points always matter, because we are not mathematically relegated yet. This match shows what I’ve seen since I returned, which is that we react to setbacks, then manage to make incredible mistakes,” D'Aversa told the media. “This proves that when you make those errors, both upfront and at the back, you will lose at a level like Serie A. I don’t know that we’re lacking in confidence. We scored three goals and still conceded four. We made too many mistakes and systematically conceding a goal on every set play is just not sustainable. We lack nous, we lack leadership and we are not good enough for this level. There’s no point taking people for a ride here.”
Parma had been famously solid at the back and strong on the counter under D’Aversa, but after he was dismissed and returned to replace Fabio Liverani, they’ve just leaked goals. “We always find ourselves chasing the game and when we are leading, even with a two-goal lead, we always manage to get caught. I think the team lacks leaders who can take responsibility and push the team forward. I honestly don’t even understand such a radical change myself, there must be many different aspects contributing to it. We were leading 3-2 at Cagliari, but in the final minutes we took the free kicks quickly, we rushed our moves, we didn’t take the sting out of the game or try to control the tempo. That’s all a lack of experience.”
Parma (4-3-3): Colombi; Busi, Bani, Osorio, Pezzella; Hernani, Brugman, Kurtic; Traore, Cornelius, Gervinho
Suspended: none
Injured: Nicolussi Caviglia, Inglese, Iacoponi, Zirkzee, Karamoh, Cyprien, Man, Mihaila, Conti

The Granata and the Gialloblu have won three each and drawn three in their last nine meetings, but Toro has kept four clean sheets in their last seven games against the Ducali. Torino has only won one of their last 12 games played on Monday nights, a 3-1 win over Lazio in December 2017. BettingKick’s Torino vs Parma prediction is: Both teams to score.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
