Tottenham host Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London) in the 27th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 7.15 pm (UK) on Sunday, March 7. Read our reasons for Tottenham vs Crystal Palace prediction and betting tips.
Tottenham have won two consecutive Premier League games for the first time since winning four in a row back in November, with those two victories ending a depressing run of five defeats from the six PL games prior (W1). On Thursday night Mourinho's side held firm under intense pressure from Fulham to move to within four points of the top four after a 1-0 win at the Craven Cottage. As for Palace, have gone three games unbeaten now after a goalless stalemate against Man United in midweek, and the five points they have picked up in that time have been really important. Mathematically they aren't safe of course, but the pressure is off.
Spurs finally appear to have found some momentum but are still down in eighth in the table. While the Europa League can often prove to be a hindrance for teams, particularly one now so used to reaching the latter stages of the Champions League, for Tottenham it has helped to kickstart their campaign. The Spurs had lost five from six games before thumping Wolfsberger 4-1 in their Europa League last-32 first leg and have followed that up with three wins in their next four games.
Not since beating Man City to move top of the table on 21 November had Spurs won back-to-back games, but a Tosin Adarabioyo's own goal ensured the visitors backed up Sunday's impressive 4-0 victory over Burnley with a hard-fought three points. A win here would put Spurs back into contention for the top-four spot as rivals Man United, Liverpool and Leicester falter in their own campaigns.
On the other hand, while Crystal Palace’s league position looks unremarkable – the Eagles find themselves in 13th ahead of the weekend - they’ve actually picked up more points (34) at this stage of the season than in any of their previous seven PL campaigns (W9, D7, L11). Their defence hasn’t been great though and their average of 1.59 goals conceded is the division’s joint-third highest. Despite this, there are signs of improvement with just one goal conceded across their previous three PL matches.
Despite their lack of bite, they are well organised and difficult to break down under Hodgson, which was true again in midweek as Palace rarely looked in danger of losing to United. The Eagles successfully nullified any threat the visitors could pose and, while chances were also few and far between for themselves, they did come closest to taking all three points with Van Aanholt's late opportunity. Despite the absence of Zaha, Palace have ground out points recently, which has them well on the way to a mid-table finish, avoiding any late concerns of being dragged into a relegation battle.

Tottenham meet Crystal Palace unbeaten previously in their last 11 Premier League meetings with the Eagles (W9 D2), their longest ongoing run against any side currently in the division. Since a 1-0 win at White Hart Lane in November 1997, Crystal Palace are winless in their last eight away league games against Spurs (D2 L6), failing to score in the last seven and losing each of the last five.
We expect the home team to keep their positive streak going and add another three points to their tally on Sunday, so the BettingKick’s Tottenham vs Crystal Palace prediction is: Tottenham win
