TOTTENHAM VS FULHAM MATCH ANALYSIS
Jose Mourinho's side played out a 1-1 draw against Wolves to fall to 7th place in the Premier League standings with 26 points. After beating Arsenal 2-0 on home turf in the first week of December, the Spurs haven't tasted victory in any of their next four matches in the league (D2, L2), which could change as they welcome the newcomers Fulham, who are showing some signs of life of late with four draws in their last four games. They have been able to contain Liverpool (1-1), Brighton (0-0), Newcastle (1-1), and most recently Southampton (0-0) but are still in the relegation battle in the 18th place.
Jose Mourinho has demanded more from his team and if they want to challenge for the title, they need to step up and deliver. He questioned the ambition of his Tottenham players after they conceded yet another late goal at the weekend to drop two points. They have now dropped a league-high nine points after conceding beyond the 80th minute this term. However, the Spurs have an opportunity to end 2020 on a high as they are unbeaten in their last seven London derbies (W3, D4).
As for their Boxing Day draw with Wolves, Jose Mourinho's men led for 85 minutes after Tanguy Ndombele had given the Spurs a lead after just 57 seconds. Wolves succeeded in their efforts to stop the lethal Kane and Son Heung-min duo but showed no real threat up front in Jimenez’s absence. However, they were rewarded for not giving up after Morocco defender Saiss headed home past Hugo Lloris. The draw left Jose Mourinho's side in need to rediscover their attacking aspect of the game.
Fulham, on the other hand, will definitely enter 2021 in the bottom three should they fail to win here, thanks to their slightly improved but still disappointing December form (D4, L1). The last season's play-off winners in the Championship have been exposed for all their shortcomings and weaknesses so far in the league and will have to raise their game significantly if they want to avoid relegation. If their attackers can step up their game, they could climb out of the drop zone after this weekend and start a new calendar year on a more positive note.
As for their latest goalless draw on Saturday, Fulham were unfortunate not to continue their recent improvement with a win. Both Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Ivan Cavaleiro missed good opportunities to score and a late siege on the visitors' goal saw Aleksandar Mitrovic go close, as well. The Saints scored twice but VAR correctly ruled both efforts out and it must be noted that a defeat would have been too harsh on Fulham, who dominated for long periods.

This is a fixture where Spurs have found a lot of joy in, having won 10 of their last 11 games against Fulham and the Cottagers have a poor record when it comes to Premier League London derbies.
The Spurs are not on a great run but it seems more like a blip rather than the start of a slide away from the top end of the table.
They are expected to get the better of Fulham anyhow. Scott Parker's side has improved a lot, especially at the back, but they still can't win games - which is why they are still in the bottom three.
