Tottenham host Man United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London) in the 31st round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 4.30 pm (UK) on Sunday, April 11. Read our reasons for Tottenham vs Man United prediction and betting tips.
Tottenham are a point further back in sixth following a frustrating 2-2 draw at Newcastle. Now they face Man United hoping to do a league double over the Red Devils after demolishing them in a 6-1 win at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. On the other hand, second-placed United moved four points clear of Leicester in 3rd by coming from behind to beat Brighton like they did so many times on the road this season. With the hosts battling to save their season and finish in the top-four, and United fighting off the teams behind them, a dramatic 90 minutes awaits.
Spurs have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, and their last three games read lose-win-draw. They followed an impressive 2-0 win over Aston Villa on the road with a disappointing 2-2 draw at St James Park last week. Harry Kane scored a quickfire double in that match to give Spurs the lead, but the Magpies equalised with 85 minutes on the clock. It was a blow for the team, and the one Mourinho didn’t take well - his men have let 11 points slip this season by conceding goals in the last 10 minutes of matches.
Nevertheless, Tottenham is still battling it out to finish fourth and secure Champions League football for next season. The home team started the week in 5th place with 49 points, two less than local rivals Chelsea in 4th. Indeed, Spurs will have been frustrated by dropping a couple of points at Newcastle but were hampered by having defenders Serge Aurier and Toby Alderweireld unavailable. A full week to prepare for this match should help Jose Mourinho iron out his team’s instability and a sharper performance is expected.
As for Man United, they started the year with a strong chance of challenging Man City for the Premier League title, but they will end as best of the rest behind the Cityzens. The visitors continue to improve under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. A silver medal finish with as small a gap as possible between first and second would be seen as a great effort. They are moving in the right direction, there can be no questioning that.
Man United arrive in London unbeaten in their last five games with nine points collected from the previous nine available to them. They edged Brighton 2-1 at Old Trafford last week after showing the season’s trademark desire to fight back from a goal down to get it. Whether the Red Devils were worthy winners is open to debate, though. United have won eight top-flight matches when they conceded first but falling behind versus better-class opposition is not to be recommended.

Tottenham meet Man United looking to record their first league double over the Red Devils since the 1989-90 season under Terry Venables. Moreover, United have won just one of their last eight away Premier League matches against Spurs (D4 L3).
How Tottenham beat Man Utd at Old Trafford earlier in the season will give home fans cause to be confident. However, the hosts have struggled in recent weeks and must be at their best if they are to defeat a determined opponent who is happy to do things the ugly way.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
