TOTTENHAM VS MAN CITY MATCH ANALYSIS
The Spurs are in impressive form on all fronts and have gone unbeaten in 14 of their last 16 matches in all competitions (W12, D2, L2). In the Premier league, they have picked up 17 points so far and are in 2nd place after their 0-1 win against West Brom on November 8. The Spurs will head into the clash with City feeling positive they can take maximum points from last season’s runners-up. As for City, they are also in impressive form after a glitchy start to the Premier League. They have also picked up their third European win before the international break and a draw with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool (1-1). For Manchester City, the draw came with a massive boost, as Gabriel Jesus scored again in his 2nd game on his return to the side against the Reds. In the early running, Manchester City are 10th with 12pts in the standings.
Tottenham have extended their unbeaten Premier League run to seven matches (W5-D2), having suffered their only defeat in their season opener at home against Everton (1-0). Harry Kane is in form of his life with double digits for both goals (13) and assists (10) in 14 matches in all competitions. He scored his 201st career goal against West Brom and will be eager to sink City as well.
As for their most recent match before the break, Jose Mourinho hailed Harry Kane's qualities after the striker's 150th Premier League goal earned Tottenham victory at West Brom. A third successive league victory temporarily lifted Spurs to the top of the table on Sunday before Leicester replaced them after their 1-0 win against Wolves. It is early stages, but when you look at some of the players who did not even make Mourinho's matchday squad - Harry Winks, Davinson Sanchez, and Steven Bergwijn - there is no reason why the Spurs cannot be competing for the biggest prize.
Man City, on the other hand, are on a five-matches unbeaten streak W2-D3) since their home defeat to Leicester (2-5) in the 4th round. They are eager to regain the domestic title, and following a slow start to the season, they have shown signs of improvement as of late. They are doing alright on all fronts, but the busy schedule and injuries are playing their part in the way how this season is unfolding.
Against Liverpool before the international break, the recent heavy programme, a Champions League midweek, and a persistent heavy rain reduced the energy and quality before both Manchester City and Liverpool settled for a 1-1 draw. It will have left Guardiola feeling less than fully satisfied because victory over Liverpool is always both a valuable psychological and footballing blow in the title equation. They are meeting another title contender this weekend before they host Burnley and Fulham so it is imperative they get something from the match with Spurs.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane has been involved in 23 goals in just 14 games in all competitions this season (13 goals, 10 assists) and Man City’s Gabriel Jesus has been involved in 11 goals in his last 11 games in all competitions (8 goals, 3 assists).
