West Ham
3 - 3
Tottenham host West Ham in the 5th round of the Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London) on Sunday, October 18 and the match kicks off at 4.30pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Tottenham seems like they have shifted into another gear after their blend start against Everton (0-1). The Spurs followed it with an excellent performance against Southampton away (5-2) and were left frustrated with a solitary point after a controversial ending to their match against Newcastle on match-day 3. They are now 6th in the table with 7 points and their momentum is good after their impressive win against 10-men Man Utd (1-6) before the international break.
As for West Ham, their 3rd round match, the 4-0 win against Wolves, was the Hammers' biggest top-flight victory since New Years' Day. It was their first win in the league, and those three points were followed by another three points from the equally impressive away win (0-3) in Leicester before the two weeks break. Six points from those two wins are enough to put them in the 10th place in the league ahead of the visit to their London rivals.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Tottenham had been really busy recently on three fronts, having edged past Chelsea to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and having progressed to group stage of the Europa League after they eased pass Maccabi Haifa in qualifying play-offs. They left the best for last, when they thoroughly demolished Manchester Utd in the league at Old Trafford before the Nations League international break. Jose Mourinho returned to Old Trafford and humiliated his former club as Tottenham thrashed Manchester United to record a famous 1-6 victory. Son Heung-min and Harry Kane scored twice, with Tanguy Ndombele and Serge Aurier also on target as United suffered the heaviest defeat since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took temporary charge in December 2018. The Spurs moved up to 6th after emerging from a packed schedule of five games in 11 days in three competitions with a creditable four wins and a draw - their last two games have been won by five-goal margins.
The Hammers have opened this season with a 0-2 home defeat to Newcastle and a 2-1 defeat at the Emirates against Arsenal, which was a disappointing continuation of the last season's poor form. Problems off the pitch have also been piling up and with all the distractions it was tough to regroup and refocus. Nevertheless, they manage to do that and more against Wolves and recorded an emphatic victory which was followed by an even more splendid away win in Leicester. West Ham have now won against a side starting the day in the top two of the Premier League for the first time since May 2017 and more importantly, won successive Premier League games while keeping a clean sheet for the first time since May 2019. Antonio is the first West Ham player to score in five successive Premier League away games, with the forward netting eight goals in this run. These are all positives to take ahead of the a challenging set of fixtures in October when the Hammers will face Tottenham, Manchester City and champions Liverpool, starting with a trip to the Spurs on Sunday.

After smashing Man Utd at Old Trafford, the Spurs will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on West Ham United in the London derby. Spurs have been scoring goals for fun in all competitions of late, and it is more than obvious that Jose Mourinho is on the right track to put together all pieces of the puzzle. Gareth Bale is rated doubtful for the local derby, but regardless of which players will be deployed in the starting eleven, Jose Mourinho’s men are seen as favourites to win the match as they are unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 matches in all competitions.
The Hammers proved their worth in a 3-0 win at Leicester City, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium clash. In their last 12 away games in Premier League, Leicester was only their 2nd win, but MOyes' men could be further boosted if the £30m signing of Brentford forward Said Benrahma goes through before Friday's transfer deadline.
My prediction for this game is: Both teams to score

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
