1 - 1
Union Berlin will try to continue with their undefeated run with Freiburg coming to the capital on Saturday.
Union has five points on the board after four matches - one more than in the early part of their debut Bundesliga campaign. They won all their points in the last three games, winning against Mainz and drawing with Gladbach and Schalke. They are building on confidence, even without their most famous signing. After the late summer transfer of Liverpool's former Mainz shot-stopper Karius, the goalkeeping situation at Union has been under the spotlight. Luthe kept his place last weekend at Schalke and did nothing that would dramatically change coach Urs Fischer's mind ahead of Saturday's visit of Freiburg. Not many changes are expected from the trip to the Veltins-Arena last time out. Florian Hübner could come in for Joel Pohjanpalo with Max Kruse leading the line should he switch to a system with three at the back, though. Kruse made his professional breakthrough at Freiburg, registering 11 goals and nine assists during the 2012/13 campaign. Union has scored a league-high four headed goals so far this season, However, four of their five goals conceded have also been headers.
Union: Luthe - Trimmel (c), Friedrich, Knoche, Lenz - Gentner, Andrich - Becker, Kruse, Ingvartsen - Pohjanpalo
Out: Schlotterbeck (hamstring), Ujah (knee)
Doubtful: Karius (knock), Prömel (match fitness)
Coach: Urs Fischer
Freiburg has the same number of points as Union after four matches. They are far from their form from the last season but they are always tough rivals. They are without a victory in the last three matches in the Bundesliga, scoring just two goals in those games. Freiburg returned from the international break with a draw at home to Werder Bremen last time out as former Real Madrid youngster Philipp Lienhart scored his first Bundesliga goal from a corner, which is where they will be looking to profit from against a Union side whose goals - for or against - come overwhelmingly from set-pieces. Christian Streich may keep his side unchanged for this trip to the capital with no new injury concerns.
Forward Ermedin Demirovic could push for his first Bundesliga start with Nils Petersen and Lucas Höler failing to find the net in each of their last two Bundesliga outings, though. Petersen has scored against 16 of the Bundesliga's 18 current clubs. Arminia Bielefeld and Union are missing from his hit list.
Keven Schlotterbeck spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Union. His kid brother, Nico, is currently on loan at the Berlin club, from Freiburg. Freiburg has won only two of their last 15 away matches in the Bundesliga.
Freiburg: Müller - Schmid, Lienhart, Heintz, Günter (c) - Sallai, Santamaria, Höfler, Grifo - Höler, Petersen
Out: Flekken (elbow), Haberer (ankle)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Christian Streich

Union and Freiburg are hard-working sides that are very focused on defensive assignments so under 2,5 goals are our preferable bet for this match.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
