Werder Bremen will host Hoffenheim on Sunday at the Weser Stadium.
Having missed the first three games of the new season with a knee problem, one of the best Werder players Rashica managed 24 second-half minutes in Bremen's 1-1 draw with Freiburg last time out. The Kosovo international was Werder's top scorer in the previous two campaigns, but competition for places has increased in his absence. US international Josh Sargent has become a firm favorite of head coach Florian Kohfeldt, while Niclas Füllkrug has scored four goals already in 2020/21, the same amount he managed in the entire 2019/20 season. Sargent has started every game for Bremen so far in 2020/21. He was on target in the DFB Cup first round and assisted one of three Füllkrug goals against Schalke on Matchday 2, but hasn't scored in the Bundesliga since finding the net against Cologne on the final day of last season. Füllkrug has been on target in three of his last four games against Hoffenheim. Theodore Gebre Selassie has scored more often against them than against any other team, with each of his three strikes coming at home.
Left-back Ludwig Augustinsson is out with a thigh injury, meaning Marco Friedl could shift out wide with Kohfeldt reverting to a back four. A wide spot further forward could well be Rashica's therefore.

Hoffenheim have a point to make up on seventh-placed Werder following their 1-0 home loss to Borussia Dortmund. The only team to beat Bayern Munich this calendar year had their chances, despite the absence of free-scoring talisman Kramaric. The Croatia international - the Bundesliga's Player of the Month for September - has scored six times in the Bundesliga this season alone, and 11 in his last five league outings. He was one of three Hoffenheim players forced to isolate following the October international break, though, and is set to miss out once more. Kramaric has scored 10 of Hoffenheim's last 12 Bundesliga goals, including six of eight in 2020/21. Only Robert Lewandowski has scored more in the league this season (seven). Kramaric netted his first of his club-record 68 Bundesliga goals (and counting!) for Hoffenheim away to Bremen on 13 February 2016.
They had a successful start to the UEFA Europa League: won 2-0 (0-0) against Red Star Belgrade thanks to goals from Christoph Baumgartner and Munas Dabbur, who started the third European Cup season in the club's history with three points.
Kasim Adams and Pavel Kaderabek are also unavailable, the defensive duo joining Ermin Bicakcic and Kostas Stafylidis on the sidelines. Striker Munus Dabbur should return to the starting line-up.
Hoffenheim have not lost away to Bremen in their last six trips (two wins, four draws), their longest such run on the road against any current Bundesliga side.

Both teams had their ups and downs and it is clear that missing Rašica and Kramarić hurt their attacking options. Bremen will try to exploit home ground, Hoffenheim will try to find space for counter-attacks but the overall feeling is that these teams will have trouble scoring so under 2,5 goals is our most reasonable option for this match.
