Werder Bremen is on a three-game winless run in the Bundesliga before the Eintracht Frankfurt visit. Read our reasons for Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction and betting tips.
Despite a typically hard-working display, USMNT striker Sargent couldn't prevent Bremen from going down to a heavy defeat in their last match, a 4-0 reverse at fellow mid-table side Hoffenheim last Sunday. That result means Die Grün-Weißen is still stuck on five league wins for the season, sitting only six points above second-bottom Mainz. Sargent currently has four goals and three assists in all competitions and - having just turned 21 - has been backed by the club to soon add to that tally. Although he's only scored two league goals, Sargent has won more aerial challenges than any of his teammates in the current Bundesliga campaign (50).
Fellow attacker Niclas Füllkrug returned from injury as a substitute against Hoffenheim and is likely to start on the bench again on Friday. Serbian defender Milos Veljkovic went off at half-time last week but should be fit, while left wing-back Ludwig Augustinsson is in danger of missing out with a thigh complaint once more. Werder is Bundesliga’s sixth-lowest scorers this term with 24 goals.
Bremen: Pavlenka - Veljkovic, Toprak, Friedl - Gebre Selassie (c), Eggestein, Möhwald, Agu - Schmid, Rashica - Sargent
Out: Plogmann (knee)
Doubtful: Augustinsson (thigh), Erras (muscular)
Coach: Florian Kohfeldt
Serbian frontman Jovic played his part last week as Eintracht picked up their fifth win in a row and the most impressive success yet: a 2-1 victory over league leaders and defending champions Bayern Munich. He might have to settle for a place on the bench on Friday, though, with leading scorer Andre Silva returning to training this week after the back problem that forced him to sit out the Bayern match. Silva has scored in all three of his Bundesliga meetings with Bremen to date. His 18 goals after 22 matchdays this season is a new club record for Eintracht.
Portugal international is an offensive anchorman for Frankfurt's side in this season, but Jovic - having scored three times since his return on loan from Real Madrid last month and 17 across the 2018/19 Bundesliga campaign - is a serious goal threat in his own right. Midfielder Djibril Sow should start following a mandatory one-match ban, with Makoto Hasebe set to revert to defense in place of the suspended Evan N'Dicka.
Frankfurt: Trapp - Tuta, Hasebe (c), Hinteregger - Durm, Sow, Rode, Kostic - Kamada, Younes - Silva
Out: N'Dicka (suspended)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Adi Hütter

Frankfurt has scored at least twice in their last 11 Bundesliga matches in a row. Twelve would be a new club record. Two defeats across their first 22 matches of a Bundesliga season is a Frankfurt best-mark. Our final Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction is an away win.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
