West Brom host Everton at the Hawthorns (West Bromwich) in the rescheduled 29th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 6 pm (UK) on Thursday, March 4. The game has been brought forward owing to Everton’s FA Cup involvement in March. Read our reasons for West Brom vs Everton prediction and betting tips.
West Brom’s remote chances of survival were handed a valuable boost last weekend with just their second home victory of the Premier League (PL) campaign against Brighton. It was a just reward for a defensive unit that has conceded only one goal across three PL matches for the first time since their return to the top flight. As for Everton, the Toffees play their second game in four days when they travel to the Midlands to face relegation-haunted WBA. Carlo Ancelotti's men secured a big win against Southampton on Monday night as their Champions League dream remained very much alive.
Survival specialist Sam Allardyce knows his West Brom side have a mountain to climb if they are to pull off an unlikely escape from the drop zone. The Baggies are nine points adrift of 17th-place Newcastle and they have just 12 matches remaining to make up the ground. There has been an improvement in recent weeks, with January loan signings Okay Yokuslu, Ainsley-Maitland Niles, and Mbaye Diagne introduced to the spine of the team.
In their last three games, West Brom battled to draws with Man United and Burnley and clinched a fortuitous victory over Brighton. They will need to build on these results in the games to come and the home clash with Newcastle on Sunday sticks out as a vital fixture in the relegation dog-fight. Victory over the Magpies could set up a three-way contest with Fulham to clinch safety, but defeat would likely mean it is a two-horse race for 17th place.
Meanwhile, after accumulating their second-highest 25-game points tally of the last decade, Everton are hurtling towards a potential maiden appearance in the Champions League group stage. The Toffees are expected to grab all three points for the second time in this campaign against the 19th placed West Brom. They thumped the Baggies 5-2 in Liverpool in September and that rather set the tone for both club's respective campaigns. As things stand a win here could take Everton above the bitter rivals, Liverpool, in the League table.
Everton have no new recent injuries except the injuries of Yerry Mina and Dominic Calvert-Lewin who picked up a hamstring injury back in February. However, this has coincided with Richarlison’s return to form. Brazilian ace is on fire right now after scoring in his last three games and netting five in his last five games. As there are no new recent injuries Ancelotti will be looking to sharpen his team with the availability of all others to grab all three points this time as they are looking to do a double over West Brom on Thursday night.

West Brom meet Everton having previously picked up only one victory in their last 12 Premier League meetings with the visitors (D5, L6) – winning 1-0 at Goodison Park back in February 2016 under Tony Pulis. Moreover, the Baggies are without a win in their last five head-to-head games against Everton (D2 L3).
West Brom and Everton will both have their tails up heading into this showdown, but changes on both ends are to be expected given the crunch matches they face at the weekend, so we expect a low score in this one, although we give Everton an edge here.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
