WEST BROM VS SHEFFIELD UTD MATCH ANALYSIS
The Baggies are the only Premier League side besides their Saturday’s opponent, Sheffield Utd, not to have recorded a win yet in this campaign. They are 19th with three points from draws against Brighton, Burnley, and Chelsea (W0,D3,L6). With conceding eighteen goals and scoring six, they have the worst goal difference in the league and definitely have to improve dramatically at everything. As for the Blades, the visitors have had a nightmarish start, which is a worrying situation for the Blades, as they continue their nine-game winless streak. After getting their only point in the league so far against Fulham at home (1-1) in the 5th week, they continued their losing streak in the next four matches, which puts them at the bottom of the table, with only them and their host at the weekend without a league win so far.
The Baggies, upon promotion, do not seem competitive enough at this level, and given their sluggish start to the season, they will have to improve considerably to avoid the immediate return to the second division. On November 2, they lost to fellow newcomers Fulham (2-0) and replaced them in the relegation zone, where they remained after a home defeat to the Spurs before the international break, and Man Utd away last weekend (1-0).
Coming into this weekend’s games, no team has conceded more Premier League goals this season than West Brom (18), and they could not do anything to change against United, despite showing resilience. Bruno Fernandes had to take his penalty twice to give Red Devils the win, and it was harsh on the visitors, as they were awarded a penalty themselves minutes later, only to be overruled by the referee. Captain Jake Livermore and defender Kieran Gibbs missed the game, being tested positive for coronavirus, which is another blow for the hosts ahead of this weekend’s match.
The Blades, on the other hand, have had the worst start in the league under Wilder. They picked up nine points from their opening eight games last season, scoring seven and conceding seven, but they have already shipped twice as many goals in 2020-21 as they had at this stage last year and have only scored four times. It means that no side has scored fewer than them so far. It will be awfully hard to repeat the last year's campaign and more realistically, the number one objective for 2020/21 will be to ensure they stay up.
In their most recent match against West Ham, they started brightly and created several early chances, but the Hammers soon took control of the match, with Sebastian Haller getting the winner for the visitors with a superb strike. The Blades have become the third side in the top-flight books to pick up just one point from their opening nine games in a season, and a lack of goals and an inability to keep a clean sheet could be too costly for them this season.

This is the first ever Premier League meeting between West Brom and Sheffield Utd, and following an unlucky 1-0 loss to Manchester United, the Baggies will aim to return to winning ways when they face their fellows from the relegation zone. The Baggies are eyeing to put an end to their losing streak, and manager Slaven Bilic will field the best possible side against the Blades, in order to catch up with the rest of the league.
The Blades, on the other hand, also want to bounce back, but their performances are not as encouraging as their hosts’. Chris Wilder’s men look out of sorts, meaning that WBA will not have a better chance than this to come away with their first victory of the campaign. They are now 13 c matches in a row without a win in all competitions for the first time since October 2013, and the negative run does not seem likely to end anytime soon.
BettingKick’s prediction for West Brom vs Sheffield Utd match is: under 2.5 goals.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
