West Ham host Burnley at the Olympic Stadium (London) in the 19th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 3 pm (UK) on Saturday, January 16.
WEST HAM VS BURNLEY MATCH ANALYSIS
The Hammers come into this match on the back of a 0-1 win against Everton at Goodison Park on January 1 and a win against Stockport in the Round 3 of the FA Cup on Monday. They could use some of that grit and fighting spirit in another test against struggling Burnley at the weekend. The Hammers are in 10th with 26 points and could finish in the top-six with a win here. As for Burnley, they travel to London after a penalty shoot-out win against League One side MK Dons in the FA Cup Round 3 and a 0-1 defeat against Man Utd in the league. They are fifth from the bottom, five points from the bottom-three.
West Ham manager David Moyes said winning at Everton for the first time since he left the club was "special" after Tomas Soucek's late goal gave West Ham a 1-0 Premier League victory at Goodison Park. However, To say the first 85 minutes lacked creativity would be an understatement. Neither side were able to dominate going forward, with the first shot on target coming on the stroke of half-time. They too proved difficult to break down for the Toffees on the night and were playing the better football when midfielder Soucek, their leading scorer this season, netted his fifth goal of the campaign. Although West Ham have picked up a third away victory in five games, there were areas of concern for Moyes. Right-back Ryan Fredericks dropped out of the squad after testing positive for Covid-19, while goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski was injured during the warm-up.
The Clarets, on the other hand, were seconds away from a shock defeat by MK Dons before debutant keeper Will Norris inspired a penalty shootout win. Escaping from the brink of defeat meant Burnley's new era under American businessman Alan Pace began with a victory. They welcomed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to Turf Moor next, in a match rearranged from the opening day of the season when the contest was called off to allow United extra rest time after their European exertions. The Clarets have been in very good form at Turf Moor of late, winning three and drawing one of their last four at home, while no team has conceded fewer home goals than Sean Dyche's side this season. However, United dominated a contest in which Burnley failed to register a single shot on target until stoppage time. In the end, Paul Pogba's second-half volley was enough to give Man Utd a victory here.

David Moyes has fashioned a very decent West Ham side that is disciplined while often creative and attack-minded. They have been rewarded for their enterprising play with some impressive results, notably big wins against Wolves and Leicester and draws at Manchester City and Tottenham. However, they lost their last three games to visiting Burnley, but six wins from the last nine competitive home clashes with the Clarets is promising though.
On the other hand, Burnley are slowly growing into their season. Performances and results have improved but they still struggle immensely on the road this PL campaign, winning just once so far (W1, D3, L4). Yet an average of 1.4 goals scored across their last ten competitive H2Hs at West Ham provides a glimmer of hope.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
