West Ham host Everton at the Olympic Stadium (London) in the 35th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 4.30 pm (UK) on Sunday, May 9. Read our reasons for West Ham vs Everton prediction and betting tips.
After back-to-back defeats, West Ham got their top-four push back on track with a 2-1 win at Burnley on Monday night. The Hammers boast the second-best home record in the Premier League as they gear up to take on an Everton side that has won only one of their last seven league matches. That said, the Toffees have a solid record in east London, losing just one of their last 12 league visits to West Ham and despite their indifferent form, Everton have lost just one of their last 12 top-flight games on the road, winning eight. There is more at stake for West Ham here, though, and they'll seek to capitalise on Chelsea's trip to Man City to close the gap to fourth.
A top-four finish would have looked incredibly difficult at the start of the season for West Ham, but they are within touching distance with four games to go. If David Moyes’s side can record four straight wins to end the season, then it would be hard to see them finishing outside of the Champions League places. Both sides directly above them have a tough run of fixtures to end the season, while this fixture against Everton is the only time that the Hammers will come up against a side in the top half.
West Ham have been in tremendous form since February, being in the 5th position with 58 points and the Hammers continued to show their determination in their recent fixture against Burnley. The Hammers won the contest against The Clarets & Blues by 2-1, with their superstar Michal Antonio making a return to the Hammers squad after an injury, scoring a fantastic brace to down the resistant Burnley side. A victory for either team would prove to be invaluable towards the outcome of the Premier League table.
On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti would be disappointed by how his Everton side have fallen away from the European positions over recent weeks. They have drawn three times during the recent run of games, and have lost twice. They were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa last time out at Goodison Park, but could still qualify for European competition, as they are two points off Liverpool and four off Spurs. However, given how they have performed over recent weeks, it looks incredibly unlikely.
Everton had a fantastic start to the season, with manager Carlo Ancelloti bringing in marquee players like James Rodriguez, Allan, and Doucare to transform the Toffees from a mid-table side to Premier League contenders. However, Everton has been constantly dropping points, which saw them slip up to the 8th position, having won only 1 game of their previous 5 encounters. Nevertheless, the Toffees have secured an impressive 10 victories on the road, including some notable wins like their first win at Arsenal in 25 years and at Anfield for the first time since 1999.

West Ham meet Everton looking to complete their first league double over Everton since 1972/73, following their 1-0 win at Goodison Park in January. Their record at home is fairly decent against the Toffees. Everton have won just once on their last five visits to East London.
This is a huge weekend for the Hammers, as they could go level on points with Chelsea. This fixture could be the difference between them qualifying for the Champions League or not. Their performances have been excellent, and we expect them to come out on top in an entertaining fixture.
