WEST HAM VS FULHAM MATCH ANALYSIS
After eight weeks in the Premier League West Ham are in 14th place with 8 points from their little unbeaten run between rounds 3 and 6 (W2-D2). The Hammers have been producing fine displays in the Premier League of late, but they were more than unfortunate not to hold Liverpool to a draw at Anfield (2-1).They face Fulham, who moved out of bottom three for the first time, next. The Cottagers, on the other hand, once again do not seem to be competitive at this level. Fulham made a slow start to the season as they fell to their 5th defeat in six games against Crystal Palace (1-2) on October 24, but were able to record their first win since promotion against another new-comers West Brom (2-0). With the win they have climbed to 17th with 4 points and will look not to return below the red line too soon.
David Moyes’ troops aim to return to winning ways, and the fact that they shared the spoils with Man City in their last home game is surely giving fans a reason for optimism. Before their loss against the Reds, the Hammers have dispatched the likes of Wolves (4-0) and Leicester (0-3) and drew against the Spurs after an astonishing comeback (3-3). They were without their star player Antonio last weekend, but put up a gritty performance against the champions.
In an intriguing encounter, the Hammers took an early lead through Spanish midfielder Pablo Fornals' smart finish, but were unable get anything from the match as Salah equalized from the penalty spot before half-time and Diogo Jota completed the comeback. It was a gutsy performance from David Moyes’s side, but they must feel disappointed after dropping more points from the winning position.
As for Fulham, the last season's play-off winners in the Championship were exposed in first six matches for all their shortcomings and weaknesses, and they will have to raise their game significantly if they want to avoid the drop. The Cottagers have made their worst ever start to a top-flight season after the first six games (D1 L5) , but with a win on Monday, they had avoided the 5th straight home defeat, which would have been their worst run of games at Craven Cottage since August 2013.
Both sides have found life at the top level much tougher, with both of them without a win until Monday. Two goals in the span of four minutes in first half were enough to put the game to bed. De Cordova – Reid converted a headed pass from Mitrovic, who also assisted to Ola Aina to net his first ever goal in English League football in what was his 51st appearance. They will now surely head more confidently into the London derby at West Ham on Saturday.

The Cottagers have conceded an average of two goals per league game and kept just one clean sheet this term.
