There should be no shortage of goals when Wout Weghorst and Wolfsburg host Silas Wamangituka and VfB Stuttgart on Sunday.
Weghorst's five-game scoring streak came to an end against Bayern Munich as Wolfsburg suffered their first league defeat of the campaign. That said, the Dutchman did have a goal ruled out for offside at the Allianz Arena, where the Wolves took a deserved lead through Dinamo Moscow loanee Maximilian Philipp and were only denied a share of the spoils by some late Manuel Neuer heroics. Despite the concession of two Robert Lewandowski goals, Marin Pongracic impressed against his boyhood club.
Unless US international John Brooks shakes off a back problem, the Croatian will continue alongside Maxene Lacroix in the center of defense. Injuries to the likes of Admir Mehmedi and Renato Steffen mean head coach Oliver Glasner could stick with the same side that contained Bayern for much of their midweek encounter. A return to winning ways could be enough for a place in the top four over the festive period.
Wolfsburg: Casteels (c) - Mbabu, Pongracic, Lacroix, Roussillon - Schlager, Arnold - Baku, Philipp, Brekalo - Weghorst
Out: Malli (back), Mehmedi (Achilles tendon), Steffen (groin), William (not included)
Doubtful: Brooks (knock)
Coach: Oliver Glasner
Stuttgart will adopt a fear-no-one approach, as always in this season. Having thumped Borussia Dortmund 5-1 last weekend, Pellegrino Matarazzo's surprise package roared back from 2-0 down to draw with Union Berlin on Tuesday. They're now unbeaten in three, while their only defeat since losing to Freiburg on the opening weekend came at the hands of defending champions Bayern. Even then, they took the lead and should arguably have added a couple more to their tally before Bayern turned the tide.
The promoted south-west club travel north with the second-best away record in this season's Bundesliga (W4, D2), and with a forward line very much in form. Sasa Kalajdzic's brace from the bench against Union gives Matarrazo ample food for thought, with Mateo Klimowicz a candidate to make way. Tanguy Coulibaly could come back into midfield at the expense of Philipp Förster, but there'll be no budging Silas. The Congolese winger is Stuttgart's seven-goal top scorer so far this term, outdoing forward Nicolas Gonzalez by three.
Stuttgart: Kobel - Anton, Mavropanos, Kempf - Silas, Endo, Castro (c), Sosa - Didavi, Coulibaly - Kalajdzic
Doubtful: -
Out: Al Ghaddioui (pelvis), Cisse (groin), Karazor (knee), Thommy (elbow)
Coach: Pellegrino Matarazzo

These sides have no worries regarding their offensive strength, this should be a very entertaining match with both teams to score.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
