Wolves host Crystal Palace in the first match of the Premier League Round 7 at the Moulinex (Wolverhampton) on Friday, October 30 and the match kicks off at 8pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Wolves are blowing hot and cold at the start of the new Premier League campaign. After two defeats in the row, including a surprising 4-0 defeat to West Ham in London, which was their worst Premier League defeat since 2012, then bounced back with two wins on the trot - against Fulham (1-0) and Leeds (0-1) in weeks 4 and 5 – only to be held to a disappointing draw (1-1) against the Magpies last weekend. As it is, they are 8th in the table, having collected 10 points so far.
As for Crystal Palace, the Eagles are 7th in the table, one place above their hosts on goal difference. After two consecutive wins against Southampton at home (1-0) and Manchester United away (1-3) at the start of the new campaign, they followed it with two defeats - to Everton at home (1-2) and away to Chelsea (4-0) - which ended their little winning run and set them back a few steps. After they were held to a draw against Brighton at home, they defeated the struggling Fulham at Craven Cottage (1-2) to claim their 3rd PL win.
MATCH ANALYSIS
After being thrashed by West Ham in the third round (4-0), the visit of a Fulham team who were yet to earn a point on their return to the top flight seemed an ideal opportunity for Wolves to get back on track and Pedro Neto's goal helped them return to winning ways. The 2nd win on the trot came at Leeds, which moved them up into 6th in the Premier League, as Wolves had won three of their first five games (L2) of a top-flight campaign for the first time since 1979-80.
Against Newcastle last Sunday, however, they thought they had three points in the bag after a 80’ Jimenez’s strike, but were left disappointed as Newcastle's late equalizer denied them a third successive win. Both sides managed just one shot on target in the first half, and while Wolves seemed the likelier to take three points they had to settle for a point that takes them into eighth. As Nuno Espirito Santo put it afterwards, they need to be more clinical when presented with chances, and a home fixture against Palace will be their next test.
As for Palace, their best start to the season ever with two wins on the trot , including a historical 1-3 win against Manchester United, ended before they could have reveled in it for too long. The Eagles followed it with two defeats - against Everton and Chelsea – before they shared the spoils with Brighton. The see-saw ressults continued as they came with three points from a local derby against Fulham.
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson was full of praise after Zaha scored and made another goal to inspire a victory and inflict more misery on bottom side Fulham. Palace were on the back foot for much of the encounter, with the hosts having almost 70% possession, but netted twice on the counter-attack. They made a huge leap up the table, jumping from 14th place to fifth, as they head into the 7th round and another away fixture at Wolves.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
