Wolves host Fulham in the fourth week of the Premier League at Moulinex Stadium (Wolverhampton) on Sunday, October 4 and the match kicks off at 3pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Wolves made a brilliant start to their season with an opening (0-2) away win against Sheffield United. which was followed by a second week match against Man City at the Moulinex, where the visitors were too strong (1-3)and got their revenge for the last campaign's double defeat. Finally, they ended last week with a surprising 4-0 defeat to West Ham in London, which was their worst Premier League defeat since 2012.
Last season's play-off winners in the Championship, Fulham, suffered a disappointing 0-3 defeat to their London rivals, Arsenal on their home debut back in the Premier League. It was followed by an improved performance, albeit in a 4-3 defeat, against Leeds. Third successive loss came at the hands of Aston Villa (0-3) which left Fulham at the bottom of the table below Sheffield Utd and Burnley on goal difference.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Nuno's side will hope not to lose here as they last lost their opening two Premier League home games all the way back in season 70/71. They also have a very solid head-to-head record against the Londoners in the last ten years (W8-D4-L3) and were also unbeaten against newly-promoted rivals at home last season. They are in 16th place in the table with three points and ar looking for their second victory of the campaign. Meanwhile, they sold Diogo Jota to Liverpool and signed right-back Nelson Semedo from Barcelona, which will allow Adama Traore to push more forward. The manager announced more signings to come before the window closes, and most recently Wolves' captain Conor Coady signed a new five-year contract. Recent signings and the record they have against the Cottagers, are positives that Nuno's side will take into this match hoping to overcome the little slump they have.
Scott Parker has a decent squad, but the worry remains whether they have enough quality to stay up. First three matches exposed all their shortcomings and weaknesses, and if they want to pick up any points when they face Wolves, they will have to raise their game significantly. On two previous occasions Fulham were in the Premier League - in 2013/2014 and 2018/2019 - they didn't last a season and conceded the most goals in the league both times. They already concede 3.3 goals on average and after the latest loss, their vice chairman Tony Khan voiced his opinion and apologized to fans and also promised new signings. Following those promises Fulham signed former Everton winger Ademola Lookman on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig. If Parker sorts out the defense where Hector, Ream and Odoi have struggled to adapt, they can get going, but the whole team will really have to put in the shift if they want to stay up.

And now, for some facts and stats. So far, the two sides have met 15 times. Wolves have won 8 and the Cottagers won 2 matches , while another 5 matches ended in a draw.
Wolves have won 38% of their last 18 home games (W7-D6-L5) and Fulham have lost 26% of their last 19 away fixtures (W8-D6-L5).
In their 15 H2H's, Wolves kept 4 clean sheets against Fulham at home (W4), while Fulham scored in 4 out of 8 games away at Wolves (D3-L1).
Both teams have scored in 6 out of 15 H2H's - 4 times with Wolves (W1-D3) as hosts - and 55% of Wolves' last 20 home games finished with Both teams scoring (W2-D4-L5), while Fulham also had 50% of BTTS results in the same period (W3-D2-L5)
Finally, when these sides have faced each other, there has been an average of 2.93 goals per game. Out of these, Wolves have scored an average of 1.73 goals, while Fulham have averaged 1.2.

Wyatt grew up in the suburbs of London and he is a big Chelsea fan. As a young boy, he found his love for football, which became an obsession, but when he tried playing it he soon realized that he just wasn't talented enough. Bearing that in mind, Wyatt decided to learn everything there is to know about all the teams and players, with special focus on Premier League and Championship . Wyatt has a big affection for Championship and he is well versed in all the teams and knows their advantages and weak spots very well. He is an economist, and being one makes him good with numbers and also good with the odds. His specialty are BTTS matches.
