Wolves host Leeds at the Moulinex Stadium (Wolverhampton) in the 25th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Friday, February 19. Read our reasons for Wolves vs Leeds prediction and betting tips.
Nuno Espirito Santos’s men play Bielsa’s Leeds at the Molineux in a mid-table Premier League encounter. After their win at St Mary’s on Sunday (2-1), Wolves overcame their disappointing FA Cup exit at the hands of Southampton three days earlier, and have moved up to 12th in the table with 30 points. They are aiming for a position in the top half of the table and could leapfrog the visitors who are in 11th after a 4-2 loss to Arsenal on Sunday and have shown only shades of their quality in the league.
Wolves would be disappointed with their inconsistent performances this season, as expectations were set high with their performances in Premier League 2019/20 season. The Midlands club have fallen from 7th to 12th in the table. Having won just two of their last 11 Premier League matches, Wolves standards have slipped in the absence of their main striker Raul Jimenez after failing to score a goal in eight Premier League matches this term. Wolves’ season has been severely hampered by injuries to senior players but things are slowly improving.
The recent return of wing backs Jonny, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Marcal has given Nuno some badly needed options. Since the reverse fixture in October which resulted in a 1-0 win for Wolves, the hosts have won only 5 games (D6, L 8), while in the same period, Leeds have won 8 of their games (D1, L9). It will be a tough, exciting contest with both sides desperately needing a win to gain some momentum in the Premier League campaign.
Bielsa’s side, on the other hand, have been made too often to pay for their expansive style, missed chances as well as defensive errors. However, of the promoted teams, Leeds have more points than West Brom and Fulham combined which is a testimony of their solidity. The Whites have also struggled with defensive injuries all season and none of their long-term absentees are likely to return this weekend. The Whites go into this clash after chalking up three wins from their last five Premier League fixtures.
Marcelo Bielsa certainly doesn’t set up his team to draw games and seems to be obsessed with attacking football and scoring goals at all costs. Of their 24 games this season they have drawn just 2. Of the other 21 games, 13 have been won or lost by more than a one-goal margin. Whether you agree or not with this somewhat Gung-ho style, Leeds have certainly brought a breath of fresh air to the Premier League this season and no manager in the league can afford to take them anything less than seriously.

Wolves meet Leeds unbeaten in their last four matches where they conceded only once. Overall. Wolves have a positive record against Leeds with 10 wins to visitors’ 7 in their last 20 meetings. A victory in this fixture for either side would make a significant impact, as it will cut the gap between the two sides. The aspirations for Wolves and Leeds would be to finish in the top half of the Premier League table, in a campaign plagued by shocking defeats and inconsistent performances by the teams.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
