Wolves host Southampton at the Moulinex Stadium in the 9th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Monday, November 23.
WOLVES VS SOUTHAMPTON MATCH ANALYSIS
Wolves were unbeaten in four games (W3-D1) before losing to Leicester (1-0) before the international break. They picked up 10 of 12 available points in that run, and have been incredibly difficult to break down in that period, conceding just one goal, which was enough to put them in the 9th place in the standings with 13 points as they await Southampton, another in-form side. As for the Saints, two straight defeats, they looked like a disjointed side at the start of the new Premier League campaign, resembling the side they were at the beginning of the last year. However, they have completely turned the tables around and have gone on a six-game unbeaten run (W5-D1). They were impressive in their last two wins against Villa (3-4) and Newcastle (2-0), and are 4th in the table with 16 points coming into this weekend.
Wolves, on the other hand, have upped their form recently. After losing key players Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota to other Premier League clubs, it took Wolves a little time for new players to ease in. While stars like Raul Jimenez continue to shine, youngsters like Pedro Neto and Max Kilman have established themselves in the first XI. On the other hand, Wolves are yet to score more than twice in a Premier League match so far this season, with the bottom two sides Burnley and Sheffield United the only other sides yet to do so.
In their most recent match, the Wolves could not break the stubborn Leicester side, even though they came back strongly in the second-half, looking for the equalizer. Nuno Espirito Santo will have worked on improving his team’s performances during the international break, as he hopes that squad returns healthy and hungry for the win when the Premier League resumes. Wolves have kept more Premier League clean sheets than any other side so far in 2020 (13), but they need to sort out their attack as soon as possible for the Southampton match.
The Saints, on the other hand, suddenly look different, a more organized side after six consecutive games without a defeat. With the squad that includes in-form Stephens, James Ward-Prowse, Armstrong, and Ings, they have a strong core of the team, who shouldn't be in a similar situation to last year. They haven’t won any of their last four away league games against Wolves (D2 L2), since a 6-0 win at Molineux in the Championship in March 2007, but are also looking for their 4th win in a row for the first time since 2016.
As for their most recent match against the Magpies, they went top of the Premier League for the first time ever after the win, albeit for a very short time. Their manager Ralph Hasenhuttl told afterward that anything is possible if they keep on putting out the same performances. They were dominant throughout the match, moved the ball brilliantly, and deservedly won after Che Adams' superb first-half volley and Stuart Armstrong's strike later on in the game.

Wolves are unbeaten in their last four home matches against Southampton and have lost just one of their last eight league clashes with the Saints (W4 D3). However, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the visiting team take a point.
The Wolves want to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to the Foxes, but this match will be anything but easy for the hosts. Full-back Jonny remains sidelined for the Wolves, but he is the only absentee in Nuno Espirito Santo’s team as Conor Coady is available again after he had tested negative for coronavirus.
Southampton, on the other hand, want to continue their winning run in the top division. They have been scoring goals for fun of late, but with key attacker, Danny Ings sidelined with injury, maybe it is time their unbeaten run comes to an end.
BettingKicks’s prediction for the Wolves vs Southampton game is: Under 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
