Wolves host West Ham at the Moulinex Stadium (Wolverhampton) in the 30th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 8.15 pm (UK) on Monday , April 5. Read our reasons for Wolves vs West Ham prediction and betting tips.
Monday’s game between Wolves and West Ham brings down the curtain on the Premier League Round 30. The Wolves aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Liverpool at home, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Hammers. Key attacker Raul Jimenez remains sidelined with a long-term injury, while both Marcal and Podence are rated doubtful for the game. The capital club, meanwhile, dropped a two-goal advantage in a 3-3 draw with Arsenal, but they remain in the Champions League race. The Hammers are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, with Lindegard, Antonio and Soucek all in splendid form.
Wolves are back in Premier League action this coming weekend as they look to finish the season on a high. Nuno Espirito Santo ’s side take on Champions League chasing West Ham aiming to climb into the top half of the table. Wolves go into the game off the back of a 1-0 defeat by reigning Premier League Champions Liverpool in their last outing. In fact, they will be looking for their first league win since the middle of February when they host the Hammers and will also be looking to avenge a 4-0 defeat in the reverse fixture back in September.
Earlier in the season, there was a brief change of approach from Nuno, who experimented with a more attacking 4-2-3-1 setup, but results were mixed and he has reverted to his tried-and-trusted three-man defence in an effort to pull away from relegation danger. Wolves are usually tough to beat in their favoured system and have conceded just one goal in their last three home fixtures. However, they have lacked a cutting edge for much of the season – only Burnley and the bottom three have scored fewer – and may not carry enough of a threat to add to their five home wins.
On the other hand, West Ham wasted a massive opportunity when throwing away a three-goal lead to tie 3-3 at home to Arsenal and their quest for a top-four finish could suffer another setback with a failure to defeat Wolves at Molineux. There is a huge incentive for the Hammers, who are two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea with nine games left, but they have scored just once in their last four away games and might lack the creativity to open up a Wolves side who are rarely caught short in defence.
West Ham is on target for a return to European football next season but will it be the Champions League or Europa League. At this stage of the campaign, they have every chance of making it into Europe’s elite competition, but there’s still work to be done if they are to see off neighbours Chelsea and Tottenham. The visitors are are sat fifth in the standings and with only two points to find to catch Chelsea with Spurs a point behind, we are all set for a grandstand finish.

Wolves meet West Ham having previously lost just one of their last eight home league games against the east London side (W5, D2). Meanwhile, West Ham are looking to complete their first league double over Wolves in a little less than a century after crushing The Wanderers 4-0 in the reverse fixture in September.
West Ham have lost their last two Premier League away games, as many as they had in their previous 11 on the road (W6, D3) and with four of Wolves’ last ten league games have seen the points shared we expect another stalemate to be on the cards on Monday.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
