WYCOMBE VS BRENTFORD MATCH ANALYSIS
Wycombe are 22nd in the standings from their two wins and a draw in their last four league matches. Wycombe lost their first seven fixtures in the league, but they have picked up their form lately. However, they went into the international break with a 2-0 defeat in Nottingham. As for the Bees, their goalless draw against Boro before the break means that they have fallen down the standings to 11th with 16 points so far. The Bees have lost one and drew three of their last five games and are still too far from last season’s standard when they reached the play-off finals.
Wycombe’s seven-game wait for their first Championship point was followed by two wins. The little unbeaten run ended in the last round, but they showed they can improve. The Chairboys awful run, in the beginning, shouldn't come as a surprise as Wycombe have never played at this level before, and they still have to come to grip with it as they showed their naivety at the start of this campaign.
However, a brace from Lyle Taylor for Nottingham ended Wycombe's three-match unbeaten run. Wycombe improved with the introduction of Garath McCleary and Adebayo Akinfenwa but couldn't find a way past Brice Samba in the Forest goal. On a more positive note for Wycombe, they were good with the ball at their feet and created some good chances, and Mccleary left a really good impression in his second-half cameo. They will now try to build on the little momentum they gathered, ahead of the Brentford visit.
Brentford, on the other hand, could be forgiven for suffering a bit of a hangover after losing the play-off final. Last season they showed they knew how to control games and were brilliant when it came to creating chances and being in control, but they need a few good results on the trot in the league to get this campaign really going. They lost key players in the summer, but they have replaced them well and as a matter of fact, are better off with points at this stage than they were last term (W4, D4, L3).
Brentford come into this weekend’s fixture on the back of two home draws, having not been able to break Middlesbrough’s defense for 90 minutes. The point was more useful to the Boro as they extended their unbeaten run to ten. The Bees came into the game having scored in each of their nine previous league games but failed to breach the Boro, and even the league's top scorer, Ivan Toney could not find his 11th goal of the season.

This is the first league meeting between Wycombe and Brentford since 2011-12 in League One, with the Bees doing the league double over the Chairboys that season.
Wycombe want to escape the relegation zone, and will surely give their all on the pitch on Saturday. The newcomers have yet to find their stride, but it is well known that they give much better performances at home than on the travels.
The Bees, on the other hand, continue life without star players Watkins and Benrahma, having found the worthy replacement in Ivan Toney, second-best league’s scorer (10). Brentford are determined to secure promotion to the Premier League, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to return to the top division.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
